Like Hear Nebraska, our similar namesake means that we too have a statewide focus. For them, it’s music. For us, it’s public education. And, our role in the music nonprofit’s three-week tour across our state blends the two together. During this leg of the tour we’ll add nine more student performers to the lineup.
So far, we’ve been able to meet with superintendents in Ord and Grand Island, business leaders in Red Cloud, teachers in Kearney and proud people who admire the schools in their hometowns every place we’ve visited. We kick off the next leg of the tour tonight in Hastings. Stop by our Nebraska Loves Public Schools booth during the performances to say hello and share what’s going on in your school community. We would love to hear your stories and learn why you love your school.
P.S. We’re giving a limited number of “I ♥ Public Schools” t-shirts away for free at each event. Make sure to stop by early.

What’s truly special about Norfolk and its school community is its family nature – and we’ve been invited to the family dinner conversations before the Good Living Tour kicks off in Panther county. Alongside Superintendent Jami Jo Thompson, we’ll join the Norfolk community at 5 p.m. to learn more about what’s going on specifically in their community. After the conversation, we’ll watch the six-person student string ensemble start the mainstage show.
After a warm radio welcome from KBRX, we can’t wait to round out our weekend with these O’Neill Eagles. This will be the first time on the tour where we’ll have two separate student performing groups on stage before the headlining acts. The lineup this night is very diverse and our student performers will be adding to the variety on this evening. From patriotic classics to a world renowned musical selection, the Good Living stop in O’Neill will be something to see (and hear).
